Fire Coral
The Fire Coral is a an average coral that is a part of the phylum cnidaria and also doesn't have brain. The fire coral has the simplest form of a nervous system. The neurons communicate with each other just by passing each other. So, communication of the neurons almost happen by coincidence. It's just a matter of what neurons are going to pass each other at what time. These neurons, however, when they do get the information, they send it to almost everywhere in the body. So, with a simple nervous system, the fire coral is basically the next step up in complexity from the sponge. Sponges don't even have a nervous system.
